Storage
Bedrock Reimagined adds several new ways to store your items: portable backpacks, colorful Deep Bundles, chests and barrels in every wood type, and a lockable Netherite Safe. All custom storage shares a few safety rules to prevent bugs and duplication.
How Storage Works
Custom storage uses a temporary container when you open it, so a handful of rules apply across every storage type. They're there to keep your items safe and stop duplication exploits.
- While a custom storage item is in use, it locks in place. It cannot be dropped, thrown, or picked up by another player.
- You need to stand still for about half a second before opening portable storage. Moving while the UI is open can close it and show a warning.
- You cannot nest storage inside storage. Bundles, shulker boxes, backpacks, and Deep Bundles cannot go inside another backpack or bundle.
- Backpacks are owner-locked. Only the player who equipped the backpack can open it.
- Placed chests, barrels, and safes save their contents to the block and drop or transfer items safely when broken.
Backpacks
Portable personal storage you carry in your inventory. Hold the backpack and interact to open it.
- Small Backpack holds 9 slots
- Medium Backpack holds 18 slots
- Large Backpack holds 27 slots
- Owner-locked, only the player who equipped it can open it
- Cannot be stacked, nested, or duplicated
Deep Bundles
A roomier take on the vanilla bundle. Deep Bundles hold full stacks across multiple slots and come in 16 dye colors for organization.

- Great for sorting loot or ingredients by color
- Cannot be nested inside other storage
Chests
Placeable chests in every wood type. Put two matching chests side-by-side to form a double chest with combined storage.
- 27 slots for a single chest, 54 for a double
- Two chests pair into a double only if they're the same wood type and facing the same direction
- Available in every wood type in the game
Barrels
Placeable barrels in every wood type. Simpler than chests, and they match any build style.

- Available in every wood type
- Each barrel stands on its own and does not pair like chests
Netherite Safe
Lockable, extremely tough storage. Rename a Key on an anvil, then interact with the Safe while holding the key to lock it. Only players carrying a key with the matching name can open it.

- Lock by interacting with the Safe while holding a renamed Key
- Any player carrying a key of the matching name can open it
- Sneak and interact with the matching key to unlock the Safe
- Extremely hard to break, explosion resistant, and immune to pistons
