Land Of The Rainbows
- Strangersss
Happy Pride Month! This is the first contest I've participated in, and I must say it's definitely been very interesting as well as eye-opening to unfold my creativity and experience new discoveries. I, alongside 5 Frame Studios, my sponsor and an official Marketplace Partner, wanted to address the LGBTQIA+ community particularly and wish them a remarkable month! As a part of the community myself, I was very excited to take part in this contest and express myself through it, and hopefully be able to represent other fellow members too. To be able to be yourself is truly a very liberating instance, which is why I wanted to illustrate an event that I believe portrays the situation many of us have lived throughout our process of self acceptance. The central entity is who you are, they show your true colors and real self. The falling person represents the uncertainty and the way you stumble into cycles of denial of identity until your authentic self resurfaces, therefore the hand paints the image of when you're finally at peace with yourself- when you're no longer at loss. The mask is meant to characterize being able to detach yourself from who you were pretending to be, putting up appearances in order to be accepted by society, whilst the acceptance that matters the most is embracing yourself. Being perceived as different has always been hard, but there's also a positive side to it too; we're all unique. I've met countless people who have gone through the same things I have due to that, and I must say everyone has something beautiful to them. Finally coming to terms with who I was opened up endless possibilities, and I hope that whoever is reading this knows that the love for others and self-love are key aspects to life, and to anyone struggling, know you'll always have an amazing community to back you up!
I want to thank Cookiie for putting this all together and hosting it, and to everyone involved in making Minecraft what it is now too, the hard work Mojang has been constantly putting in. I also wanted to thank the team behind 5 Frame Studios and the faith they've put in me as their representative on the contest. I wish everyone the best!
